PRESS: Govt to spend 19 bln rbl to spur demand for cars 2020 – min

MOSCOW, Sep 4 (PRIME) -- The government will spend around 19 billion rubles to encourage Russia’s demand for cars in 2020, Vedomosti business daily reported on Wednesday citing Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

“The 2020 federal budget project envisages almost 19 billion rubles for measures to encourage demand for cars,” he said and added that over 500 Aurus luxury cars are to be sold in 2021.

The ministry also asked the government for 24.3 billion rubles of subsidies for heavy vessels construction by Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center (FESRC) Zvezda, he added.
